Shihan George White started his martial arts training in the fall of 1971 while attending the University of Arizona. Shihan White is a 30-year law-enforcement veteran, retiring as a lieutenant from the Pima County Sheriff’s Department in 2007.
During his tenure in law enforcement, as part of his duties, he was tasked with developing, standardizing, and implementing training in the area of proficiency skills, specializing in defensive tactics in the use of force continuum.
Shihan White is a recognized expert in defensive tactics and use of force justification clarification as it applies to judicial review. Shihan White currently holds the seventh dan rank in Kawanabe Karate-Do, with all certifications completed at world headquarters in Atsugi, Japan, under the direction and review of master Kawanabe.
Additionally, Shihan White is a seventh-degree black belt in Okinawan Shuri-Ryu, an F.B.I. certified defensive tactics instructor, US marshals, certified defensive tactics instructor, and Arizona P.O.S.T. certified defensive tactics instructor.
